In the dignity of prayer, the man bows respectfully in front of the ancient tombstone, as if embracing the border between the past and the present. As a focal point in Liska Jewish Cemetery, the tomb of Rav Hershel Lisker—Tzvi Hersh Friedman—serves as a conduit to the Eternal, where earnest prayers rise and connect in unwavering faith. 

Each day, thousands of faithful individuals visit this holy site, experiencing the ongoing presence of Rebbe Tzvi Hersh Friedman’s spirit, which envelops those who pray for a message of hope and faith. Requests, wishes, blessings. The essence of prayer lies not in the spoken words alone, but in the emotions and desires from the heart that seek to connect with the divine.

Orthodox Jewish prayer gatherings frequently emphasize petitions for blessings that nurture childhood innocence and offer comfort and recovery to the ill. The cemetery stands as a guardian of faith and tradition, where centuries of respect and contemporary prayers are harmoniously united. 

Yeshaya Steiner, the Kerestir Rebbe, was known to come here occasionally to offer prayers and request blessings at the tomb of his revered mentor, Hershel Lisker. Thanks to his teacher, the Kerestir Rebbe’s community was able to copyright their traditions and stay resilient in their faith during periods of intense difficulty. In this revered moment, the man's heartfelt prayer weaves together the past, present, and future, encapsulating the profound hopes and desires of the entire community.
